In Store Tasting 4/2: 2009 A to Z Pinot Noir

Today we are trying the 2009 A to Z Pinot Noir from Oregon. The 2008 got 90 points from Wine Spectator and the vintage might have been Oregon’s best. They say 2009 is also a very good vintage in Oregon. The wine┬áhas some nice spice and bramble aromas. Has some nice structure with a solid backbone with some classic Pinot Noir flavors the lead to a long finish.

  1. One of my favorite Oregon pduorcers. Surprisingly Burgundian. I have tasted here on Thanksgiving and Memorial Day weekends when they offer a vertical of their Estate Pinot Noir library wines, some well over 10 years old which still have depth and fruit. I prefer the Estate Pinot Noir to their blends and other varietals.
